The Ultimate Gift Guide for Those Missing New Jersey

0

It’s holiday gifting season and I thought with all the restrictions and hassle of traveling during this pandemic, there are many around the world who are lacking the essence of New Jersey. They lack the ability to touch, feel, and remember that we are still the best place to be. That said, we’ve put together a list of the top ten items that you can easily find on Amazon that will remind our dislocated New Jersey of the Great Garden State.

First, most people in New Jersey will love a shirt that says the iconic phrase “watch the streetcar please,” a summer entertainment spot in Wildwood.

What Jersey loving person wouldn’t want to slice their pork roll on a New Jersey bamboo cutting board? They can also use it to serve cheese and applications on it. Have your cheddar cheese on Edison, your brie cheese on Princeton and your Limburger cheese on Elizabeth. I’m joking!

Ask your nostalgic Jersey to light a Nostalgic Jersey candle. I have no idea what it smells like, but if they like candles it will help them get over their homesickness.

It’s the holidays and you have time to get your missing Jersey love, a Jersey tree ornament with the state cut and the simple scripted word “home” on it. I think I have it and I live here.

You can order a vintage Jersey license plate personalized with the text of your choice. Perfect for your garage or hanging in your basement bar, it will remind you to navigate the highway and the promenade without the tolls.

The promenade, the sea air, the salt water taffy. You must include a box of saltwater taffy. Saltwater taffy was produced and marketed in Atlantic City, New Jersey over 140 years ago. It’s a big part of summer on the Jersey Shore. It has been available and sold along the walks along the Jersey Shore.

No Jersey Care package should be sent to anyone without including a Taylor Pork Roll. I know, I know, it’s Pork Roll if you’re from South Jersey and Taylor Ham if you’re from North Jersey. I don’t care what you call it; it goes in the Jersey gift box.

To bring the debate home, we’ve included a pork roll t-shirt. You are your beloved Jersey wearing that anyone who knows anything about New Jersey will know exactly what they are talking about.

Bruce Springsteen released a new album; Chances are your missing Jerseyan didn’t have a chance to get it back. Favorite New Jersey son Bruce Springsteen must be included in your package.

Speaking of Jersey music, you can’t leave out my man Bon Jovi so you’re a long lost New Jersey you can cover up in any town and dress up with a different Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.

Finally, there’s the art that takes you from the boardwalk to New Jersey’s great beaches. A beautiful, well-made work of art that is suitable for any home. Enjoy the view and let the photo take you to the shore!

I just wanted to give you some ideas that those who love Jersey and can’t be here will find some humor and make them feel good about the essence of Jersey. Have a nice holiday!
