Stockton set to win 2022 NJAC Women’s XC Championship

NJAC Central Cross Country Championship

PITMAN — In a pre-championship poll of league head coaches, Stockton is expected to win the conference crown at the NJAC Women’s Cross Country Championship. The championship meet is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 29 at TCNJ’s Green Lane course.


Stockton garnered five first-place votes, followed by predicted runner-up TCNJ with three first-place votes. Rowan is scheduled for third, followed by Ramapo in fourth and black horse selection Montclair State in fifth. Kean and Rutgers-Newark tied for sixth in voting, and NJCU and Rutgers-Camden round out the predictions.


Heading into championship week, TCNJ holds the advantage in the regional standings, with the Lions currently sitting third in the metro area. Stockton is currently fourth in the region and Rowan is seventh.


Eight of the nine teams last participated two weeks ago in the final regular season tune-ups.
