Jimmy G tests positive for COVID-19, watches the Jersey Shore

Hey whats up!

I’m sorry, I haven’t written anything ridiculous for a few weeks. I’m back and now that I’m sitting here with COVID I think it’s a great time to go off the rails a bit …

First of all, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family. I can’t believe we are already preparing for a new year. May your 2022 be healthy and successful!

For me, it has been a crazy December. Earlier this month, we hosted our first annual weeklong Townsquare Cares food drive. It was a huge success, we raised over 56,000 meals for children in need this holiday season! THANK YOU to those who have made a donation. I think we can collect over 100,000 meals next year!

After the food drive the following week I went to Miami for my best friend’s bachelor party. Speaking of an eighty! Without going into too much detail, it’s safe to say that it was one of the best weekends of my life …

Move into a new condo, host a successful food drive and celebrate in Miami … it’s been a great month! However, as you know, not everything can be perfect. 5 days after my trip, I tested positive for COVID. That damn Omicron!

It was a tough 48 hours. I felt like a trash can and I missed Christmas Eve and Christmas with my family. I missed all of the family laughs, but luckily my mom put down a tray of stuffed seashells. 27 stuffed seashells, yes I ate them all. Thanks Mom!

Fast forward a few days … I now feel 85%. I have enough energy to write this article. No more fevers, no more chills, no more headaches … I still have a stuffy nose and a sore throat, but I will be fine …

I guess that’s where the article actually starts …

For my only 48-hour COVID, I was at 10%. I would wake up in my own sweat, cough a lung, damn it, at one point I was lying in the shower. It’s not even me who brings up the fact that I missed Christmas with my family! It was all around two brutal days … But as the headline reads, “Testing positive for COVID wasn’t the worst thing that happened to me recently” …

The worst thing? Well I clicked play on Jersey Shore Season 1 Episode 1. Honestly, folks, it was a terrible show of binge-watching. I’ve seen this garbage before but when you’re sick and have nowhere to go, nothing to do, you dive into your guilty pleasures. I think the Snooki hot tub scene got my fever going!

Remember 2009, remember seeing Mike “The Situation” for the first time?!?! HAHA, what a mess! MTV OR. You hate that it’s associated with the wonderful region we live in, but at this point, that’s what it is …
