Jeff Okudah Changing NFL Detroit Lions Jersey Numbers

Detroit Lions cornerback Jeff Okudah hinted on social media in January that it was not safe to assume he would continue to wear his jersey number from 2020.

A Lions fan expressed in Okudah online: “What would make it even more exciting would be if I knew if you change your jersey number or if I can get No 30 safely?”

“You are NOT safe brother, lol” was the response of the former Buckeyes cornerback.

Jamaal Williams’ media director Jimmy Christensen recently announced that Williams, the new Detroit running back, will wear number 30 for the Lions in 2021 – signaling a jersey number change for Okudah.

According to a Lions source, his new jersey number has yet to be determined at this point in the offseason.
