Bloomfield College President Marcheta P. Evans, Ph.D., recently hosted the New Jersey Women’s Network of the American Council on Education (ACE) at the College’s Westminster Arts Center.

More than 50 higher education leaders from across northern and central New Jersey, representing both public and private institutions and two- and four-year colleges, came together to network and build support to advance their professional careers.

President Evans, who was the Presidential sponsor for ACE Women’s Network-NJ since 2021, welcomed the spirited group, saying, “It’s so important for women to support other women, and the current gathering of women in leadership positions in higher education from all the state who are willing to coach and mentor those who come after them inspires me. I couldn’t be happier to be the host institution for this first in-person event since the pandemic on behalf of ACE-NJ.

ACE Women’s Network-NJ offers in-person and virtual professional development activities for women leaders in higher education. The next event of the organization, the annual meeting Women of Color Symposiumis scheduled for December 2, 2022 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. as a virtual event with optional virtual networking after the symposium.
